In order to strengthen national defense education, and inherit revolutionary gene, a parent-child social education activity themed by “carry forward the spirit of Anti-Japanese War--memorable years in Landmine Exhibition” was held at Museum of August 1 Nanchang Uprising on July 7.
At the event, Hu Jiaxue, a docent of Museum of August 1 Nanchang Uprising, led the participants to visit the theme exhibition of “Magic Stories of Landmine”, let them know about the categories and making process of landmine, as well as the tactics of landmine warfare, classic cases and the stories of heroes of landmine warfare through cultural relics of landmine, animation video, comic board, touchable interactive device, experience scene, etc. After the exhibition, they went to the 3/F of the new hall of Museum of August 1 Nanchang Uprising, the organizer prepared crafting material pack for the participating families, the children did hand-made work with parents’ help to draw landmine model and print.
The participating parents said that this activity not only exercised children’s ability to think, do and cooperate, but also allowed them to get close to revolutionary culture, review the magnificent history of the Anti-Japanese War, and stimulated children to inherit the revolutionary spirit and fulfill the mission and responsibility.
