On July 8, Wan Guangming, Mayor of Nanchang City, held the 17th Executive Meeting of Municipal Government in 2024. It was listened at the meeting the spirit of national meeting on urban solid waste classification work and the report on Nanchang’s implementation opinions, and researched and reviewed the “Report on Nanchang’s Social Insurance Fund Operation and Risk Prevention and Control in 2023” “Plan for Division of Responsibility for Key Work on the Opinions on Practically Strengthening Social Insurance Fund Regulation (Draft for Review)”, etc.

It was pointed out at the meeting that to do a good job in classification of domestic waste relates to people’s living environment and energy conservation, and is an important manifestation of social civilization level. Departments at all levels in the city should pay high attention to the garbage classification, consolidate full-chain improvement, all-round coverage, and whole-society participation, complete the domestic wage management system containing classified placement, collection, transportation and disposal, continue to perfect urban functions and improve urban qualities, and endeavor to form more highlights and “Nanchang Pattern” for garbage classification.
